More is more here, at least when it comes to decor. There are cutsey signs and memorabilia on every surface, including the ceiling, restrooms, and the menus. The whole vibe is traditional, conservative Americana. The service is very, very pleasant and they seem eager to please. Three of us ordered two salads and an egg plate. One salad arrived with the wrong mix of ingredients and slightly undercooked grilled chicken (they did not charge us for this and happily replaced it after a long delay), but the other salad was fine/OK, except for the bottled dressing. The egg dish was pretty good. If you visit, I recommend you skip the salads and order a traditional breakfast plate.
Pretty location. Fancy place. Good food. Nice waiters! I recomend this place for breakfast.
I work in service industry and I get that sometimes things don't go perfectly smooth and employees forget or make mistakes.. But if you can't even apologize sincerely for a mistake, just don't say anything at all... Waisted an hour and a half of our vacation day and didn't even get offered to comp the freaking coffee that we ordered to go with our food (obviously food we never got)...
On vacation from out of town. Saw great reviews and drove out of our way for good breakfast food. Got seated on the patio and ordered coffee. Ordered food and patiently waited (saw reviews, place gets busy and understood that food isn't going to be ready in 5 min) . At some point some other waitress walked up to us and tried to hand us a check, we politely said that we haven't got our food yet. Noticed that people that arrived after us, were already leaving, looked at the clock and realized that's it been over an hour. Walked inside to ask when food is coming and found out that the food order wasn't even placed. At this point it was what it was, we had to head out as we had other things to attend to.. But then lady opened her mouth and said sarcastically "soooorry! we got slammed" followed by "I'm not trying to be sarcastic"... That boiled my blood.... Paid $6 for coffee that got refilled zero times, and left hangry to some drive through..
Tory, our server was exceptional! So friendly and accommodating. She understands the need for butter. I ordered the pancake w/ egg and bacon, my husband ordered the seasonal French toast. Everything was tasty. The pancake is so huge I couldn’t finish it. I really enjoyed my visit to Valley Cafe.
Good breakfast choices, but the wait is excessive, especially during summer. Sometimes it takes up to 1hr wait. If you order in advance, it's even worse, the girls get busy and by the time you get in and expect your order to be ready, usually it's not. So the wait is the same as if you didn't order in advance. I once waited for an order of fruits an hour. So if in a hurry go across the street to the Deli.
