We came on a holiday weekend with Priceline booking, and they told us it's overbooked no room available, and they provide nothing to make up for that, no accommodations, or anything. We have to search by ourselves for somewhere to live, and that night there's nowhere available to live, since it's holiday and it's late at that time. The front desk person was nice but nothing REALLY helpful. If they have told us earlier there's no room available, we would still have time to book a room elsewhere. And we heard this place usually have this kind of overbooking thing, I don't know if they just didn't fix the problem on time, or just give the website a larger total room number on purpose, in order to achieve a higher occupancy rate or something. We book a hotel next day and there's no problem. We feel we were treated the UA way, they didn't beat us but they push us away. In summary, this overbooking thing totally ruined our night, and possibly many of others'. Better to avoid this hotel for safe landings.

I had to come out to California on an emergency job. Being that it was spur of the moment and near the the Labor Day holiday and the hotel was overbooked. I was not sure I was going to be able to keep my room. But once again Jamal worked his magic and I did not have to move out or move my stuff to another room thank goodness. This Extended Stay is by far the most accommodating and professionally run out of the six properties I've been to in California. My wife and I used to stay at Pleasant Hill because it was convenient to go to the refineries there but Pleasant Hill is horrific now. Absolutely filthy dirty and completely mismanaged. We haven't stayed there in at least three years but you always hear from other workers how things are and that property remains just terrible. Tina at the Fairfield property is a good manager and has had the same team of people for years and that's proof in the pudding most Extended Stays you never see the same person twice, because of mismanagement they have a steady influx of employees. I've been staying with extended stay for 13 years and have seen it all. The Fairfield property is our go-to property now in California. Clean towels comfortable beds and great staff!

The first night we got a room for smokers (we weren't asked if we prefer a smoker or not smoker room) but the next day we said that we didn't like the smell of that room as we are non smokers and they offered us to change the room. The staff is very nice. Clean rooms.

Told us that they would take our FEMA voucher when we made reservation, but when we went to check in we were told that the MANAGER had written in "comments" that it was only 2 locations ( one in sac and the other Rancho Cordova) that is no where near where we need to be. And they if we wanted to stay it would be $114 per night and over $2000 to stay the length we needed. This place was listed on the FEMA website. Lost everything in the fire but hey as long as you make

The hotel smelled of marijuana everywhere except our room including the elevator. There were so many broken things in the room, the window, the drawer, around the bathroom sink. The area seemed a bit sketchy. However, the one thing that saved it was the guy at front desk. He was awesome, polite, friendly, helpful and a hard worker. I seriously wish I remembered his name, I think it was Jamal. He should be working at a 5 star. The guy at the store right there was really nice also. He gave me some free filters for the coffee maker.
